Torino make transfer decision on Super Eagles defender loaned to Fulham, Ola Aina
Published: May 01, 2021
Italian Serie A strugglers Torino are ready to cut their ties with Nigeria international Ola Aina in the summer, according to reports.
Calciomercatio says the Granata are planning to sell the Chelsea academy product in order to fund the purchase of new players for the 2021-2022 season.
Aina was loaned out to Premier League club Fulham for the entirety of the season and the Cottagers have an option to buy him permanently for a fee of 12.5 million euros.
It is believed that the purchase clause will not be triggered in the event that Fulham are relegated to the Championship.
And if that is the case, Torino will attempt to sell Aina to the club that offers the most money.
With five matches to the end of the Premier League season, Scott Parker's team are seven points from safety and have a very difficult match against Chelsea this evening.
Aina is under contract with his parent club Torino until June 30, 2023.
