Fit-again Super Eagles star Olayinka helps Slavia Prague reach Czech Cup final
Published: May 06, 2021Slavia Prague have progressed to the final of the MOL Cup following their 3-0 rout of city rivals Sparta at the Generali Arena on Wednesday evening.
Nigeria international Peter Olayinka has apparently returned to fitness as he was in action for the current Czech champions for the second game running.
Since the start of March, the striker has missed eight games played by Slavia Prague due to an unknown injury, and played through the pain barrier in the Europa League matches with Glasgow Rangers and Arsenal.
The first half ended with Slavia Prague two goals in front thanks to efforts from Jan Kuchta and Tomas Holes.
Seven minutes after the restart Kuchta scored his second of the game and secured Slavia a three-goal lead.
Olayinka replaced Liberia international Oscar Dorley three minutes after Slavia scored their third goal, his 36th appearance in all competitions this term.
The Nigerian and his teammates face Viktoria Plzen in the MOL Cup showpiece on May 20.
