Photo confirmation : Nigerian youngster likened to Brazil legend Roberto Carlos joins Arsenal
Published: May 22, 2021English Premier League club Arsenal officially introduced their U9 squad for the forthcoming campaign this week.
Anglo-Nigerian youngster Morakinyo Akinyemi is one of the new intakes at the Gunners and the new schoolboy will start his journey to earn himself a scholarship as from next season.
The north London club have poached Akinyemi from Finesse Sport United FC, a grassroots club based in east London.
Finesse Sport took to social media to confirm that Akinyemi's transfer to Arsenal is now in the bag and have likened him to Brazil legend Roberto Carlos due to his incredible left foot.
Writing on Instagram, Finesse Sport stated : "The Finesse Roberto Carlos. Congratulations @morakinyoballer11 on putting pen to paper with Arsenal FC @officialarsenalacademy for the 21/22 season.
"Morakinyo has been with us since the age of 6 years. He is a standout player with an incredible wand of a left foot.
"We are so delighted to have him play with us in this incredible U9 team".
Jus Ball FC and Crown Pro Elite contributed to Akinyemi's development before his move to Arsenal.
