Chelsea center back to sign new four-year deal ahead of loan move
Published: June 23, 2021According to celebrated Italian transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea centre back Levi Colwill is set to sign a new deal with the European champions.
The 18-year-old will commit his future to Chelsea for four years ahead of a loan move to an unnamed EFL Championship club.
Colwill, who has represented England at U16 and U17 levels, has been at Chelsea since U9 level, rising through the ranks before establishing himself as a regular for the U18s in 2019-2020.
Last season, he was involved in 23 games for Chelsea youth teams, making appearances in the Premier League 2, EFL Trophy and FA Youth Cup.
Predominantly a central defender, the left-footed Colwill is also comfortable playing as a fullback and wing-back.
He inked his first professional contract in February 2020 and the current deal runs out in 2023.
