Published: June 24, 2021
Former Arsenal midfielder Kelechi Nwakali has reached his highest market value as a professional footballer.
According to the latest update by Transfermarkt on Thursday, June 24, the former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles skipper is now valued at one million euros (approximately N590m in Nigerian currency).
Nwakali has seen his market value upgraded after his brilliant form in the second half of last season at Spanish LaLiga 2 side AD Alcorcón, with 4 goals in his last ten matches in the division.
The central midfielder netted vital goals against Real Oviedo, CD Castellón, CD Lugo and CD Leganés.
The SD Huesca-owned player is the most valuable player in the AD Alcorcón squad, 91st in LaLiga 2, 491st among all footballers playing as attacking midfielders globally.
As for Nigerian players, Nwakali is the 55th most expensive and 400th among all players born in 1998.
Before today's update, Nwakali's previous highest market value was the 700,000 euros he attained on January 5, 2021.
