Denmark ahead of Nigeria in the race for FC Nordsjaelland wonderkid
The Danish Football Union are ahead of their Nigerian counterparts in the race for one of the most promising teenagers in Danish football, Emeka Nnamani, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

Born November 4, 2001 in Rødovre, the Nordsjaelland winger has the option to play international football for either Denmark or Nigeria but the Scandinavians have made the first steps to provisionally cap-tie having invited him to their youth teams.

Nnamani has played non-binding matches for Denmark against Israel U18s in 2018 and Spain U19s two years later.

He is proud of his Nigerian heritage and has displayed the Nigerian flag on his social media profile.

Predominantly a winger, Nnamani can also be deployed in the number 9 role and has a natural ability to get into good scoring positions due to his pace.

His form for Nordsjaelland's U19 team in 2019-2020 attracted a lot of attention and headlines in his country of birth and with 12 goals he was the top scorer in the division.

Nnamani is well on his way to the top having earned a promotion to Nordsjaelland's first team in August 2020 and handed the number 21 shirt.

The Danish Federation have already provisionally cap-tied Nnamani's teammate at Nordsjaelland, 18-year-old Tochi Chukwuani who made his professional debut at the age of sixteen.
