Danish club reject Barnsley's N350m bid for ex-Manchester United winger of Nigerian descent
Published: July 16, 2021
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Championship club Barnsley have had a bid for former Manchester United winger Tosin Kehinde rejected by Danish Superliga team Randers.
The offer worth £500,000 (approximately N350 million in Nigerian currency) was rejected by Randers because it did not meet their valuation of the 2019 Nigeria U23 invitee.
Though Kehinde is in the plans of manager Thomas Thomasberg for the new season, Randers would be forced to sell the player if they receive an offer in the region of 1.5 million euros.
The 23-year-old emerged as a key player for Randers in 2020-2021, helping the club win their second Danish Cup and finish sixth in the Superliga.
In 32 outings across all competitions, the Randers number 10 directly participated in ten goals (2 goals, 8 assists).
Kehinde had stops with the youth teams of Manchester City and Manchester United, before sealing a transfer to CD Feirense, from where he moved to Randers.
He has a contract with Randers until the end of the 2022-2023 season.
