'Market is a bit strange' - Genk chief issues update on West Ham, Brighton-linked striker Onuachu

Racing Genk sporting director Dimitri De Condé has issued an update on the future of Nigeria international Paul Onuachu.
Having made a splash in the Belgian First Division A last season with 33 goals in 38 league matches, the former Midtjylland man has been linked with a possible departure from Genk this summer.
Allnigeriasoccer.com exclusively reported a month ago that Premier League clubs West Ham United and Brighton & Hove were mulling over a bid for the Super Eagles star but Racing Genk's asking price in the region of 30 million euros appears to be too high for a player aged 27 and with no resale value.
Condé has inferred that no bid has arrived for Onuachu and Colombia center back Jhon Lucumi, and they are willing to offload the duo for the right fee.
In quotes relayed by Voetbalnieuws, Conde explained : "The market is a bit strange. It is a bit quieter than usual, but I don't mind. We want to keep our team together.
"It is of course a market with supply and demand, but for now it is quiet around them. let them go for a price that we can agree with."
Onuachu played the first half of Racing Genk's 3-2 loss to Club Brugge in the Belgian Super Cup on Saturday evening.
