Sheffield Wednesday pass up the opportunity to sign Arsenal's Nigeria-eligible defender

Sheffield Wednesday have reportedly passed up the opportunity to sign Arsenal defender of Nigerian descent Tolaji Bola.
The versatile left-back was handed a trial by the Owls and featured in pre-season friendlies against Glasgow Celtic, Chester City and Alfreton Town.
According to YorkshireLive, manager Darren Moore has ended his interest in the Anglo-Nigerian defender after assessing his qualities during pre-season training and the friendly matches.
At the age of 22, Bola has reached that stage of his career where he needs to be playing first-team football - something which Arsenal cannot offer him at the moment.
Arsenal have brought in Portuguese left-back Nuno Tavares to provide cover and competition for Kieran Tierney, Bosnian star Sead KolaĊĦinac is still at the club and there's also Bukayo Saka who can fill in at left-back.
Bola enjoyed his first taste of competitive football as a professional during a loan spell at Rochdale in the first half of last season, playing eleven matches in the third-tier.
His only squad involvement for Arsenal's first team came against Nottingham Forest in the League Cup in September 2019.
