Nigeria-eligible midfielder turns down a move to Norwich City
Bournemouth midfielder of Nigerian descent Philip Billing has reportedly turned down a move to Premier League new boys Norwich City.

The72.co.uk citing The Sun, says the Denmark international is set to snub a move to the Canaries.

Previously, Billing had been heavily linked with a departure from Bournemouth after they failed to secure an immediate return to the Premier League last season.

Now, the Danish-Nigerian star is happy to remain at Bournemouth as he 'likes new boss Scott Parker's style' and Norwich are also struggling to meet his £15million asking price, the newspaper wrote.

On a personal level, Billing enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2020-2021, scoring eight goals while producing four assists in 34 Championship matches.

Predominantly a defensive midfielder, he flourished last season playing as an attacking midfielder.

Billing has three years to run on his contract with The Cherries, whom he joined from Huddersfield Town in July 2019.
