Nigeria-eligible striker cites his qualities after season-long loan move from Tottenham
Published: August 03, 2021
Nigeria-eligible striker Kion Etete has cited his qualities ahead of a possible debut for Northampton Town against Port Vale on Saturday, August 7.
The highly-rated teenager has completed a season-long loan move to the Cobblers from Tottenham Hotspur and is looking forward to putting on a Northampton shirt.
Though Etete has yet to make his senior debut for Tottenham Hotspur, he enjoyed a taste of first team football prior to his switch to the north London club, making six appearances for Notts County.
"This is a great club and I see this move as a great opportunity for me to play games and score some goals to help the club achieve what they want to do," Etete told Northampton Town's official website.
"As a player I like to think of myself as an all-round striker, I like to get in behind but I also like the ball to feet and I can hold the ball up.
"I’m really looking forward to working with the coaching team here and I just can’t wait for that first game on Saturday."

Last season, Etete scored nine goals in 21 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur U23s and was nominated for January's Premier League 2 Player of the Month award.
