Everton attempted to sign 2015 U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner in January transfer window

According to Naples-based newspaper Il Mattino, English Premier League side Everton failed in their attempt to sign Victor Osimhen in the recently concluded transfer window.
The Toffees had approaches for Osimhen and Senegal's AFCON 2021 star Kalidou Koulibaly turned down by the Italian Serie A club.
Despite the 2015 U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner contracted to Napoli until the summer of 2025, speculation continue to link him with a move to the Premier League in the near future.
Teams interested in signing Osimhen must be prepared to pay crazy money considering that Napoli will be looking to recoup their previous investment in the player having acquired him from Lille for a club record fee of 70 million euros.
The 23-year-old has directly participated in 24 goals in 46 outings since his move to Napoli in 2020.
Everton have managed 24 goals from 20 games in this season's Premier League with Demarai Gray their top scorer with five goals.
The Goodison Park outfit picked up Vitaliy Mykolenko, Nathan Patterson, Anwar El Ghazi, Donny van de Beek and Dele Alli in the January transfer window.
