Former Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi has explained why he wants to return to the English Premier League.
The 2013 U17 World Cup winner sealed a permanent transfer to Union Berlin in the summer transfer window and has taken the Bundesliga by storm this season with an impressive nine goals in eighteen appearances.
Awoniyi finally received the green light to play in the Premier League prior to his departure to Union Berlin but before then was loaned out to five different clubs namely FSV Frankfurt, NEC Nijmegen, Mouscron (2) and KAA Gent.
The Super Eagles star is angling for a move to the Premier League due to family reasons.
Speaking to German sports magazine Kicker, Awoniyi said : "The Premier League is my dream. Everyone knows that, including here at the club.
"If I lived in England, it would be easier for my wife and child. Also my sister and a brother live on the island."
Awoniyi is Union Berlin's all-time top scorer in the Bundesliga with 14 goals in 39 appearances.
