Huddersfield Town coach issues update on Chelsea loanee Anjorin
Published: February 22, 2022Huddersfield Town boss Carlos Corberán has provided an update on the fitness of Faustino Anjorin ahead of his side's Championship clash against Swansea City at John Smith’s Stadium.
The England U20 international of Nigerian descent joined the Terriers on transfer deadline day from reigning world champions Chelsea but has yet to be included in any matchday squad as he is still rehabbing from a broken metatarsal injury.
Anjorin was initially undergoing rehabilitation at his parent club Chelsea but arrived at Canalside on Monday morning to continue his rehab programme with Huddersfield Town.
Speaking at Tuesday's pre-match press conference, Corberan said : "It's very positive to have him here because that's how we're starting to get him into the process and talk to him and start to make him ready, not only from a physical point of view but from other points of view that for us are important."
Anjorin has been inactive since playing for 65 minutes in Lokomotiv
Moscow's 2-1 win at Nizhny Novgorod in the Russian Premier League on
October 30, a game that took his total appearances for the Railwaymen to
nine before his loan spell was cut short.
Lokomotiv Moscow claimed that the winger had to return to his parent club Chelsea due to the foreign footballers limit.
