Eagles winger Olise is top U21 assists provider in Premier League ahead of Bukayo Saka
When Michael Olise set up Crystal Palace's opening goal against Burnley on Saturday afternoon, the 2021 Super Eagles invitee became the outright top assists provider (5) in the Premier League for players aged 21 or under, according to statistics from OPTA and the Premier League.

Prior to the visit of the Clarets to Selhurst Park, Olise and Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka were tied for the most assists provided by an U21 player.

Ghana international Jeffrey Schlupp gave the Eagles a perfect start in the ninth minute when he volleyed the ball home on a stretch after he was set up by Olise

Signed from Reading in the off season, the former France U18 international is proving to be a revelation in the Premier League with a goal involvement of seven (2 goals, 5 assists) in 817 minutes of football.

Arsenal star Saka, who has four assists, has played 1,012 more minutes than the Eagles number 7.

Olise bagged his first Premier League assist against Arsenal before setting up his teammates in matches against Manchester City, West Ham United, Norwich City and Burnley.

The 20-year-old has assisted and scored in each of the two matches he played in this season's Emirates FA Cup.
