Published: March 04, 2022
Odion Ighalo inspired Al Hilal to a comprehensive 4-0 win over Al Nassr in the Saudi Arabian Professional Football League on Thursday evening by scoring and providing an assist.
The visitors were leading 3-0 at halftime courtesy of a goal from Matheus Pereira and a brace from Salem Al-Dawsari.
Ighalo provided the assist for the second goal scored by Al Hilal in the 34th minute, setting up Al-Dawsari.
With fifteen minutes left on the clock, the Nigeria international wrapped up the scoring with a left-footed effort from close range that beat goalkeeper Waleed Abdullah.
Ighalo has now scored five goals in six appearances since joining Al Hilal from rivals Al Shabab in the January transfer window.
The former Watford and Manchester United striker continues to top the scoring charts in the Saudi Arabian Pro League with fifteen goals in 21 matches.
After twenty games played, Al Hilal are fourth in the table with 40 points, 14 less than table toppers Al Ittihad who have played two games more.
