Super Eagles striker warns Leicester City are going to Arsenal with their confidence up
Published: March 11, 2022
Kelechi Iheanacho believes Leicester City should be confident heading into the Premier League meeting with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in London on Sunday, March 13.
The Super Eagles striker has every right to be optimistic given that the Foxes have won their last four matches in all competitions, with two of the victories in the English top-flight.
Leicester City have posted shutouts in their last three games and scored eight goals during their run of four wins on the bounce.
Iheanacho directly participated in three of those goals, scoring against Rennes in a Europa Conference League match on Thursday night and provided assists against Leeds United and Randers.
Reflecting on the upcoming game against Arsenal, Iheanacho told LCFC TV : "This game will get our confidence up going to Arsenal.
"I think we’re strong now, defensively and offensively. So, we’ll continue like that and hopefully the wins will come."
In ten previous games played against the Gunners of which six were in the Premier League, Iheanacho has managed to score one goal, won two, drew two and lost on six occasions.
