'I knew it would be an Arsenal win' - Crystal Palace icon questions decision not to start Ndidi, Lookman
Crystal Palace legend Clinton Morrison has questioned manager Brendan Rodgers' decision not to name Super Eagles invitees Wilfred Ndidi and Ademola Lookman in the starting lineup against Arsenal, stating that he could see the writing on the wall that Leicester City were going to lose the game.

With an eye on the upcoming Europa Conference League tie against Rennes on Thursday, the Northern Irish football tactician opted to rest some of his key players including Lookman and Ndidi.

While Lookman had started five of the previous seven matches played by the Foxes in the Premier League before the trip to the English capital, Ndidi had started all the five matches since his return to Leicester from Africa Cup of Nations duty.

The Nigeria international later came off the bench for the final 29 minutes after Leicester City found themselves in a fix having conceded two goals, and the 2017 U20 World Cup winner remained on the bench for the entirety of the game.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Morrison said : "I knew it would be an Arsenal win with that teamsheet. When I saw no Wilfred Ndidi, no Youri Tielemans, no Patson Daka and also no Ademola Lookman, who I think has been good for them recently, I just thought there would not be enough attacking threat to cause Arsenal problems."

Leicester City may be prioritizing the Europa Conference League over the Premier League because it is their best chance of qualifying for European competition.
