Tottenham Hotspur planning third consecutive loan for talented 20yo striker of Nigerian descent
Published: April 01, 2022Tottenham Hotspur are planning to loan out talented Anglo-Nigerian center forward Kion Etete for the third consecutive time.
Football Insider says Tottenham have opened preliminary talks with an unnamed Championship club over a loan deal for Etete ahead of next season.
Signed from Notts County in 2019, Etete spent the first half of the campaign on loan at League Two outfit Northampton Town and was recalled from his loan spell in January before heading to Cheltenham Town on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 6ft 6in striker has made 32 appearances combined for Northampton Town and Cheltenham Town this term, scoring eight goals.
Tottenham Hotspur are delighted with the progress Etete has made on loan and want him to continue his development at another club higher up the football pyramid in 2022-2023.
It has been suggested that he could be handed a new deal before being loaned out to the Championship club in the summer.
Etete has yet to make his first team debut for Tottenham Hotspur but was a key player for their development squad last season with a goal involvement of 12 in twenty-one outings in the Premier League 2.
