Through their official website, English Premier League club Crystal Palace have confirmed that manager Patrick Vieira has included five players of Nigerian descent in in a 26-man squad for the club's preseason tour to Singapore and Australia.
Allnigeriasoccer.com exclusively reported on Saturday, July 9 that left-back Tayo Adaramola, defensive midfielder David Ozoh, winger Malcolm Ebiowei, strikers Victor Akinwale and Ademola Ola-Adebomi have been named in the traveling party to Asia, and the Eagles have now confirmed that the aforementioned players are part of the group.
Former Super Eagles invitees Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze have been omitted from the roster.
The duo will remain in South London and will train under the guidance of assistant manager Osian Roberts.
Only one player, Samuel Johnstone, was a late exclusion from the roster published by allnigeriasoccer.com this past weekend.
Palace have informed that some players did not make the squad due to fitness issues, while some did not meet the entry requirements for Singapore or Australia when travel arrangements were made.
Akinwale, Ola-Adebomi and Ozoh have yet to make their senior debuts for Crystal Palace, while Adaramola made two appearances in last season's Emirates FA Cup and was a non-playing substitute against Chelsea in the Premier League.
