Man City and Bayer Leverkusen continue to thrash out terms for transfer of Anglo-Nigerian winger

Manchester City and Bayer Leverkusen continue to thrash out terms over the transfer of England youth international of Nigerian descent Samuel Edozie to the German Bundesliga club.

Italian transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Bayer Leverkusen and Manchester City are still in talks for the signing of the exciting winger.

There are details to be sorted out with negotiations ongoing between all parties to complete the deal.

Despite speculation surrounding his future, Edozie has reported for pre-season training at Manchester City development squad and was on target in a friendly this week.

However, he was omitted from Manchester City's 26-man traveling squad to the United States, an indication that he is not in the plans of first team boss Pep Guardiola for the forthcoming season.

Edozie participated in City's pre-season preparations before the start of the 2021-2022 campaign and was rewarded with a senior debut by the Spanish football tactician against Leicester City in the Community Shield.

The 19-year-old helped Manchester City's development squad win the Premier League 2 title in back-to-back seasons, scoring five goals in 29 games in the division.

He joined the Etihad outfit from Millwall in the summer of 2019.
