Through their official website, Premier League side Nottingham Forest have confirmed the squad number Emmanuel Dennis will be wearing at the City Ground for the 2022-2023 season.
The two-time European champions snapped up the Nigeria international from Watford on Saturday but the deal was not completed in time for him to be selected for their 1-0 win over West Ham United the following day.
Ahead of their next league game against Alex Iwobi's Everton at Goodison Park, Nottingham Forest have announced that Dennis has been handed the number 25 squad number.
It will be the second straight season the Super Eagles striker will sport the number 25 jersey having worn it in 2021-2022 and the beginning of the new campaign at Watford.
Previous holders of Nottingham Forest's number 25 jersey include Mohamed Dräger, Glenn Murray, Sam Byram, Jack Hobbs, Ishmael Miller, Hamza Bencherif, Kevin James, James Biggins, Robbie Blake and Jesper Mattsson.
Dennis wore the number 42 during the 2016-2017 season at Ukrainian club Zorya Lugansk and at Club Brugge, where he spent four seasons, and was number 43 during his loan spell with Cologne in the second half of the 2020-2021 season.
Taiwo Awoniyi has been allocated the number 9 jersey for the Premier League campaign.
