New position, no problem as Everton boss hails versatile Super Eagles star

Speaking ahead of the Merseyside derby, Everton manager Frank Lampard has hailed Alex Iwobi, saying he is willing to play anywhere to help the team achieve their goals.
Lampard has borrowed a page from Jose Peseiro's book by deploying the Hale End Academy product as a central midfielder in five consecutive matches since the start of the new season.
And at the tail end of the 2021-2022 campaign, the Super Eagles star showed his worth when he was deployed on the right wing-back position by Lampard.
Iwobi has also been asked to play at fullback, attacking midfield and winger since the legendary Chelsea midfielder was appointed as Everton coach last January.
Speaking to BT Sport, via Liverpool Echo, Lampard said : "For me the thing with Alex was to make him feel like he had my confidence.
"Now Evertonians will tell you he was brilliant in the second half of last season and a big part of what we’re doing.
"The beauty of him, which is not the norm with a modern player, if you tell him to play anywhere he’ll say ‘no problem’. He’ll understand it and he won’t be upset by it".
Iwobi is in contention to make his eleventh career appearance against Liverpool at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.
