Nigerian exports : Ighodaro making waves, Godwin nets winner, Madueke opens account and more

Starting in the Netherlands. Tottenham Hotspur academy product Nonso Madueke opened his account for the season as PSV thrashed NEC Nijmegen 3-0 in the Eredvisie.

In what was his fourth appearance in all competitions since recovering from an ankle injury he suffered in pre-season, the England U21 international was allowed space in the box and slotted past the goalkeeper. 

In the Portuguese Primeira Liga, Super Eagles winger Saviour Godwin scored the match-winning goal as Casa Pia returned to winning ways by beating Rio Ave 1-0 at Pina Manique.

In the 66th minute, the one-cap Nigeria international drove forward and fired into the top corner for his third goal in eleven matches. 

In the Slovenian PrvaLiga, Bright Edomwonyi's 12th minute strike counted for nothing as FC Koper were beaten 2-1 by NK Olimpija Ljubljana at Stadion Stožice.

After the home team took an early lead, the former Red Bull Salzburg striker restored parity but Koper went on the concede again in the 26th minute. 

Elsewhere, Chidozie Awaziem's Hajduk Split threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with NK Lokomotiva Zagreb in the Croatian SuperSport HNL.

After coming off the bench in the 63rd minute, Nigeria underage international Ibrahim Aliyu halved the deficit with two minutes left. 

Finally, Etiosa Godspower Ighodaro is making waves in South Africa with DSTV Premiership team Chippa United. 

An entertaining game ended in a six-goal thriller with Chippa United and Richards Bay FC scoring three goals each.

Ighodaro salvaged a point for the Chilli Boys when he produced an improvised finish with twelve minutes left to take his total this season to four goals in eight matches in the South African top flight. 

The 21-year-old Etiosa is the younger brother of Super Eagles striker Osaguona Ighodaro and has been tipped as one for the future.
