Omonia Nicosia star Francis Uzoho starts in goal over Maduka Okoye, who has been inactive for his Championship club Watford since August 23.
Fenerbahce right-back Bright Osayi-Samuel makes his debut for the Super Eagles and is part of a four-man defence.
In central defence are William Troost-Ekong and Kevin Akpoguma, while Calvin Bassey will man the left-back position after passing a late fitness test.
Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi made his first appearance under Peseiro from the off and he is joined in midfield by Arsenal's Hale End Academy graduate Alex Iwobi and Joe Aribo.
Terem Moffi, Moses Simon and Ademola Lookman will occupy the Super Eagles attacking positions, with the Lorient man leading the line.
