Arsenal legend Sagna watches Nigeria-eligible youngster train with Gunners in Dubai
Published: December 12, 2022
Arsenal continued their preparations for the Dubai Super Cup clash against AC Milan with a training session held on Monday, December 12.
There was an important guest at the training session as Gunners legend Bacary Sagna was in attendance to watch the players in action and the Frenchman also met with his former teammate Mikel Arteta.
Arteta has taken two teenagers of Nigerian descent to the United Arab Emirates, Nathan Butler-Oyedeji and Ethan Nwaneri, and the latter was pictured by Arsenal's official website sweating it out on the Al Nasr Leisure Land Stadium pitch.
Nwaneri, who is in his final season as a schoolboy, was given a 23-minute run out in Arsenal's 3-0 rout of Lyon after coming off the bench in the second half.
The Gunners are doing everything possible to retain the 15-year-old ahead of next season amid interest for his services from some of the big Premier League clubs.
Arsenal are holding a warm weather training camp in Dubai in preparation for the second half of the season.
The Premier League table toppers are back in competitive action on Boxing Day when they take on West Ham United.
