Super Eagles hopeful reacts after scoring again for Championship leaders Burnley
Published: December 28, 2022
Super Eagles hopeful Nathan Tella has taken to social media to react to his latest goal for Championship leaders Burnley.
The Southampton loanee returned to Burnley's matchday squad for visit of Birmingham City after missing back-to-back matches against Middlesbrough and Manchester United because he was recovering from a bout of flu.
It is safe to say that Tella's loan spell at the Clarets has been successful with the winger playing twenty two games in all competitions.
The goal at Turf Moor on Tuesday night brought his tally in the Championship to an impressive eight.
In the third minute of second half stoppage time, Tella ran half the length of the pitch and fired past the goalkeeper to seal the points for the Clarets.
"Another good team performance last night. Happy to score again. Onto Friday! Thank you for the incredible support," Tella posted on Twitter.
Burnley have accumulated 50 points from twenty four matches in the division and moved eleven points clear of the playoff positions following their 3-0 rout of Birmingham City.
