The Federação de Futebol da Guiné-Bissau have announced the national team's roster for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Nigeria.
The 25-man squad list was announced at the headquarters of the Federação de Futebol da Guiné-Bissau on Friday, March 10.
Manager of Guinea-Bissau, Baciro Candé, has decided not to summon players based in the domestic championship, claiming that they are not in the tiptop condition as the league started just under three months ago.
An analysis of the roster revealed that three goalkeepers, eight defenders, five midfielders and nine attackers have received invitations for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Liverpool academy product Toni Correia Gomes, Reading midfielder Mamadi Camara, Metz defender Fali Cande, and in-form Feirense striker Jardel have been included in the squad list.
Seven players representing Portuguese clubs are on the 25-man list as well as players on the books of French, Greek, Polish, Bulgarian, Swiss and Cypriot clubs.
