PSG's transfer ultimatum to Mbappe: Ligue 1 champions to go all out for Osimhen
Published: July 06, 2023
PSG are ready to go all out for the signature of Napoli striker Victor Osihen if they lose Kylian Mbappé this summer.
According to Corriere dello Sport via Napolista, the French Ligue 1 giants are aiming to replace the French star with the Nigerian forward.
PSG's President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has given last season's Ligue 1 top scorer a two-week ultimatum to sign a new contract or leave the club this summer as they cannot afford to lose him for free.
The 2018 World Cup winner has one year left on his contract having failed to trigger the one-year option clause inserted in the last contract he signed in 2022 and the Parisians are not ready to lose him for free next summer.
The French outfit had already lined up Osimhen as one of the potential targets for this summer but have failed to meet his 150 million euros valuation which could change in the event Mbappé is sold.
The Super Eagles striker is currently in negotiation with Napoli over a new deal which could see him become the Partenopei's top earner of all time.
While the 24-year-old is considering extending his stay in Naples, he could still leave this summer for greener pastures if the Italian champions do not meet his demands and a suitor is ready to meet his valuation.
