Golden Eaglets-eligible players on target as Liverpool U18s win friendly 10-0

Liverpool U18s beat Southend United 10-0 in a friendly held at the Academy on Friday, September 8, with two Golden Eaglets-eligible players Afolami Onanuga and Wellity Lucky getting on the score sheet.
The Reds arranged the friendly as part of their preparations for their next game in the U18 Premier League after the international break.
While central defender Lucky scored one goal, box-to-box midfielder Onanuga helped himself to a brace.
Liverpool's other scorers were Trey Nyoni (3), Kareem Ahmed (2) and Ranel Young (2).
Onanuga began the 2023-2024 season as a first year scholar and has been promoted to the U18s squad on a permanent basis. while Zaragoza born Lucky signed his first professional contract with the Anfield club in April 2023.
Onanuga has made three appearances for the Reds U18s in the new season and Lucky has also played in three games in all competitions, all of which they started.
The two talented teenagers are eligible to be registered on Liverpool's Premier League roster as U21 players.
Liverpool U18s travel to Blackburn Rovers in their first game after the international break on September 16.
