Moses Simon got himself on the scoresheet for Nantes in their 3-1 loss to Metz in matchday 12 of the Ligue 1 played at Stade Saint-Symphorien on Sunday afternoon.
Simon got his goal in the 12th minute when he connected with a cross from Nicolas Pallois to put Nantes back on level terms after Kevin Van Den Kerkhof had put Metz ahead.
After his goal, the Nigeria international paid tribute to his former teammate at Levante,Raphael Dwamena, who died aged 28 after collapsing during a league game in Albania on Saturday.
Simon lifted his Nantes shirt to reveal a black lettering on his yellow undergarment, reading 'RIP RAPH'.
The 28-year-old has now registered 51 goal involvements for the Canaries, the second highest for the club since the 2006/2007 season.
Similarly, Taiwo Awoniyi scored a Premier League goal for the first time since August in Nottingham Forest's 3-2 loss to West Ham United at the London Stadium.
A minute before the end of the first half, Awoniyi, with an easy tap in, restored parity after Morgan Gibbs-White's shot was saved by Alphonse Areola.
The goal brought an end to a 6-game goal drought for the former Liverpool striker and took his tally to four in the Premier League this season.
Ola Aina also had a goal involvement in the game as he assisted former Manchester United forward Anthony Elanga for Forest's second goal in the encounter.
Having scored a beautiful goal against Aston Villa last weekend, the Cobham product has now recorded 1 goal and one assist for Steve Cooper's side this term.
