2023 Flying Eagles invitee Ola-Adebomi beats Man Utd, Spurs forwards to win PL2 Player of the Month
Published: December 16, 2023
2023 Flying Eagles invitee Ademola Ola-Adebomi has won the Premier League 2 Player of the Month for November 2023.
The Crystal Palace starlet saw off competition from Manchester United forward Joe Hugill, Tottenham Hotspur forward Will Lankshear and five other players to win the monthly accolade.
Other nominees for November's prize were: Luca Barrington (Brighton & Hove Albion), Callum Marshall (West Ham United), Emre Tezgel (Stoke City), Semir Telalovic (Blackburn Rovers) and Jack Wells-Morrison (Crystal Palace).
Ola-Adebomi was in spectacular form last month, starting with a hat-trick in Palace's 7-1 rout of Leeds United in the Premier League 2 on November 3.
Goals then followed in back-to-back matches against the first team of Stevenage in the EFL Trophy and Birmingham City in the Premier League Cup, taking his tally to six goals in total for Crystal Palace's development squad in November.
Ola-Adebomi was also shortlisted for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month for October 2023 - a testament to his brilliant form this season.
Crystal Palace first team boss Roy Hodgson has been keeping tabs on the performances of the academy product, having named him in squads for Premier League games against Manchester United and Nottingham Forest, plus the Carabao Cup match against the Red Devils.
