CAF Awards: Ajibade, Nnadozie up for POTY; Okwuchukwu, Sabastine for Young POTY; women's teams TOTY

The duo of Rasheedat Ajibade and Chiamaka Nnadozie have been nominated for the CAF Women's Player of the Year while the Flamingos pair of Chiamaka Okwuchukwu and Flourishe Sebastine are in the running for Young Player of the Year.
Ajibade and Nnadozie will battle it out with South Africa's Thembi Kgatlana and Jermaine Seoposenwe, the Zambian duo of Barbra Banda and Racheal Kundananji.
Burundi's Sandrine Niyonkuru, Tabitha Chawinga and Temwa Chawinga of Malawi and Morocco's Sanaâ Mssoudy are the other nominees in the category
Nnadozie has also been nominated for the Goalkeeper of the Year and will slug it out with her international teammate Mobile Oyono.
The duo are in contention with Cameroon's Cathy Biya, DR Congo's Fideline Ngoy, Egypt's Habiba Sabry, Moroccan duo of Fatima El Jabraoi and Khadija Er-Rmichi, South African pair of Andile Dlamini and Thandeka Ngcobo as well as Zambia's Catherine Musonda.
Chiamaka Okwuchukwu and Flourish Sabastine are in the running for the Young Player of the Year.
Okwuchukwu impressed the Falconets at the 2024 Fifa U20 Women's World Cup, scoring a pair of goals in four outings in the competition before they lost in the round of 16 to Japan.
Similarly, Sabastine also starred for Nigeria at the World Cup, scoring the only goal in the 1-0 victory over Korea Republic in the country's first match of the competition.
The Flamingos coach Bankole Olowookere and his Falconets counterparts Christopher Danjuma have been selected for the Coach of the Year Category.
The Super Falcons, Falconets and Flamingos have been nominated for the National Team of the Year, alongside Cameroon U-20, Kenya U17, Morocco U-20 and Senior Women's Teams of Malawi, South Africa and Zambia.
Off the back of their impressive outing in the Women's Champions League where they got knocked out in the semifinal by TP Mazembe, Edo Queens have made the nomination list for the Club of the Year.
Edo Queens attacker Emem Essien and her teammate Monle Oyono are in the running for the Interclub Player of the Year.
