Super Eagles forwards Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman have been named in the prestigious CAF FIFPro Best XI.
This accolade highlights their exceptional contributions to their respective clubs and the Nigeria national team.
Ademola Lookman has made headlines with his stellar performances for Atalanta, earning him a spot among the elite forwards in the CAF FIFPro lineup and the African Player of the Year award.
His agility and goal-scoring prowess have been pivotal for his team, showcasing his potential on the international stage.
Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen, the former African Player of the Year, also secured his place in the Best XI despite facing challenges this season with Napoli.
Following his transfer to Istanbul, Osimhen has seen a resurgence in form, netting an impressive ten goals and providing five assists in just 14 appearances across all competitions.
The Best XI features a formidable lineup, with Manchester United's Andre Onana taking the goalkeeper position.
The defensive trio includes Hakimi, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Chancel Mbemba, offering a solid backbone to the team.
In midfield, the list showcases the talents of West Ham's Mohammed Kudus, Fenerbahce's Sofyan Amrabat, Al-Ahli's Franck Kessie, and Tottenham Hotspur's Yves Bissouma.
The attacking front is bolstered by the presence of Liverpool’s Egyptian sensation Mohamed Salah, who joins Osimhen and Lookman, creating a dynamic trio in attack.
The CAF FIFPro Best XI not only celebrates individual excellence but also underscored the growing influence of African football over the course of the year.
