The Super Eagles' camp officially opened on Sunday night, with several players and officials arriving in the Rwandan capital.
Upon their arrival, the Nigerian delegation was warmly received by the Ambassador of Nigeria to Rwanda, underscoring the significance of the upcoming fixture.
The early arrivals include key players who are expected to play important roles in the Super Eagles’ campaign.
The players currently in camp are goalkeepers Amas Obasogie and Kayode Bankole, forwards Victor Osimhen and Tolu Arokodare, defender Bruno Onyemaechi, and midfielder Papa Daniel. Their presence signals the start of full training sessions as Nigeria looks to secure an important victory in the qualification race.
Victor Osimhen’s arrival is a major boost for the squad. The Galatasaray striker remains Nigeria’s top attacking option, and his presence will be crucial in the team’s quest for three points.
He is joined by Tolu Arokodare, the Racing Genk forward who will be looking to impress the coaching staff with his performance in training.
The arrival of goalkeepers Amas Obasogie and Kayode Bankole ensures that training sessions will begin smoothly, as the team works on defensive drills and match preparations.
Both shot-stoppers will be competing for a place in the starting lineup.
With more players expected to arrive in the coming hours, the Super Eagles are gradually assembling their full squad in Kigali.
The team’s preparation will intensify as the coaching staff fine-tunes strategies for the crucial qualifier.
The Super Eagles will be seeking to put in a strong performance as they aim to secure a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
With training sessions set to commence in full force, Nigerian fans will be eagerly anticipating further updates as more players join the squad in Kigali.
