'Training wih Osimhen, Ndidi, or Boniface' - Arokodare labels three Super Eagles stars 'high level players'
Published: March 31, 2025
Racing Genk marksman Tolu Arokodare has praised Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi and Victor Boniface after training with the trio during the international break, describing them as 'high-level players.'
Arokodare earned his first call-up to the senior national team for a pair of 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe in March.
The 24-year-old made his Super Eagles debut off the bench against the Wasps, playing for approximately thirteen minutes, before making his home debut as a substitute in the disappointing 1-1 draw with Zimbabwe in Uyo.
After international duty with the Nigerian national team, Tolu continues to impress for Racing Genk, with the center forward netting his eighteenth league goal of the season in a 4-0 rout of KAA Gent on Sunday.
However, beyond his club success, the Nigerian striker attributes his growing ambition to his recent experience with the Super Eagles.
Looking back on his time with the national team, Arokodare revealed that training with elite players has significantly boosted his motivation and mentality.
In quotes relayed by voetbalbelgie.be, Arokodare stated: "I walk around with a different feeling now. That selection gave me an extra boost.
"Training with players like Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi or Victor Boniface, they are 'high level' players.
"I am very happy that I have already had that experience.”
Arokodare is the leading goalscorer in the Jupiler Pro League, followed by Sint-Truidense's Adriano Bertaccini with sixteen goals and Anderlecht's Kasper Dolberg in third with fourteen.
