'Boniface is the perfect fit' - Expert believes Bayer Leverkusen striker is ideal replacement for Osimhen

Ertem Şener, a football expert, has charged Galatasaray to consider the signing of Victor Boniface as a replacement for Victor Osimhen, who will depart at the end of the campaign.

Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli, has been a sensation for the Turkish giants, scoring 35 goals and providing eight assists in 39 matches across all competitions.

His performances have attracted interest from several top European clubs, including Premier League giants Chelsea.

However, despite the desire from the Galatasaray fans for him to stay, the Nigerian International has expressed his desire to return to Napoli and seek other alternatives.

"Victor Boniface is the perfect fit for Galatasaray. He has been struggling with injuries," Şener suggested. 

"If he is going to be taken, care must be taken. However, he will do well at Galatasaray."

Boniface, who joined Leverkusen in the summer of 2023, had an impressive debut campaign with the German club, helping them secure the Bundesliga and the DFB Pokal Cup.

However, he has had a difficult campaign with Bayern Leverkusen, struggling with injuries and losing his position in the starting lineup.

The situation created uncertainty surrounding his future, and a departure from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer transfer window could help revive his career.
