'I would rather stay at Galatasaray' - Osimhen vows not to join Italian giants Juventus
Published: May 27, 2025
Victor Osimhen has reportedly ruled out a potential move to Juventus, insisting that he would prefer to remain at Galatasaray despite growing speculation over his future.
The Nigerian striker, who joined the Turkish champions in a high-profile transfer, has been the subject of intense transfer rumours in recent weeks.
However, according to Galatasaray insider Yakup Çınar, Osimhen has made his position clear when it comes to the interest from the Italian giants.
"Juventus wants me, but Osimhen says, 'I would rather stay at Galatasaray than go to Juventus',’' Çınar said, speaking on the Yeni Açık YouTube channel. His comments were reported by habersarikirmizi.com.
Despite this declaration, Osimhen’s future in Istanbul remains uncertain. According to Çınar, the forward is yet to communicate a final decision to the club.
"Osimhen still hasn't informed Galatasaray of his decision. He still hasn't received the offer he was expecting,” the reporter explained.
Çınar also confirmed that a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia is indeed on the table.
“The offer from Arabia is correct. But Osimhen hasn’t had any meetings with Galatasaray management regarding the transfer yet.
"This is information I received directly from a source very close to Osimhen.”
Osimhen’s apparent reluctance to join Juventus may come as a surprise, given the club’s stature in European football.
However, his admiration for Galatasaray and satisfaction with life in Istanbul appear to be key factors in his stance.
With pre-season fast approaching and Champions League qualification on the horizon, Galatasaray will be hoping for a swift resolution.
For now, Osimhen’s words suggest their star forward is not eager to leave — at least not for Turin.
