'I have played against them' - Nantes star Moses Simon backing PSG to beat Inter Milan in UCL final

Nantes winger Moses Simon has confidently backed Paris Saint-Germain to win the Champions League final against Inter Milan, emphasizing the French giants’ squad depth and quality.

Speaking exclusively to Flashscore.com ahead of the final clash at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Simon said, "I’m not surprised to see Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.

"Normally, they have the money and they could buy as many quality players as they can, especially for a club that could sign Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr."

Highlighting PSG’s illustrious history of footballing legends, Simon added, "David Beckham, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ronaldinho, and Jay Jay Okocha all played in PSG.

"Of course, being in the final is not new for them; it is their plan. I hope they would win it. This will not be just for them; it would be for France as well."

Simon, who has faced PSG on the pitch, reiterated his belief in their chances: "PSG have all it takes to beat Inter Milan. I have played against them; they have quality players."

While firmly backing PSG, the Nigerian star was also cautious not to underestimate Inter Milan.

"Of course, they should not underrate the Inter Milan team. They have good players like Lautaro Martinez – he always scores goals.

"They have a strong team and have been together for a long time, same as PSG."

Simon’s remarks highlight the respect he holds for both teams’ quality and cohesion but make clear where his loyalties lie.

"I will not say the best team should win; all I want is PSG to win," he concluded.

PSG’s journey to the final has been marked by impressive performances, with their blend of world-class stars and tactical discipline under Luis Enrique bringing them tantalizingly close to European glory.

The club’s ambitions are also fueled by their desire to add to France’s Champions League legacy, as only Marseille have previously won the competition, back in the 1992-93 season.

Inter Milan, on the other hand, come into the final with a reputation for defensive resilience and tactical organization, guided by Simone Inzaghi.

With experienced players like Lautaro Martinez leading their attack, Inter have posed significant challenges to top European clubs en route to the final.

As both sides prepare to battle for Europe’s most coveted club prize, Moses Simon’s confidence in PSG’s quality players adds a compelling voice to the growing chorus of expectations surrounding the French champions.

The Champions League final promises an intense showdown between two well-matched teams, with Simon’s faith resting firmly with PSG to deliver a historic victory for both club and country.
