Belgian, Dutch, German and EFL clubs interested in Man Utd academy graduate with triple nationality
Published: June 08, 2025
Manchester United academy graduate Maxi Oyedele is drawing significant interest from top European clubs following an impressive season with Polish giants Legia Warsaw.
Despite making his competitive debut for Poland against Portugal in October 2024, the 20-year-old Oyedele remains eligible to play for Nigeria's Super Eagles and England's Three Lions because of Fifa eligibility rules.
Oyedele’s performances in domestic and continental competitions have sparked a flurry of transfer speculation as the summer window heats up.
He played a crucial role in Legia Warsaw’s run to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
His standout moment came in the Round of 16 clash against Norwegian side Molde, where he provided a decisive assist in a 2-0 victory that ensured the Polish club's progression to the last eight of the competition.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder’s form has not gone unnoticed, with several top European clubs – including Belgian teams Anderlecht and Club Brugge, as well as Germany’s Werder Bremen and Dutch side PSV Eindhoven – all monitoring his situation closely.
The Italian transfer expert also noted that two unnamed Championship clubs from England are showing strong interest in bringing the midfielder back to the United Kingdom.
All interested clubs are believed to have contacted Oyedele’s representatives regarding the possibility of activating the €6 million release clause embedded in his current contract with Legia Warsaw.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are also set to reportedly benefit financially from any potential transfer.
As per the terms of his 2024 transfer to Poland, the Red Devils are entitled to 40% of any future sale – a clause that could see them pocket a significant sum should the move go through.
