Ball-playing Nigerian CB who learned his trade at Liverpool signs new Dunfermline Athletic deal
Published: June 14, 2025
Through a statement on the official website, Scottish Championship outfit Dunfermline Athletic have announced that Nigeria-eligible central defender Jeremiah Chilokoa-Mullen has signed a new deal.
Chilokoa-Mullen has signed a one-year contract extension, keeping him at Dunfermline Athletic until the end of the 2025-2026 season.
The 20-year-old initially linked up with the Pars during the winter transfer window, arriving on a short-term deal from Leeds United.
Dunfermline Athletic have activated a one-year extension clause in his contract after his impressive displays in the second half of last season.
Chilokoa-Mullen, who has been described as a ball-playing defender, began his football journey in Liverpool's youth academy before making the switch to Leeds United in the summer of 2020.
Before leaving Liverpool, he was unable to make his debut in the U18 Premier League, FA Youth Cup and Premier League 2.
However, during his time at Leeds United, he featured regularly in those competitions, amassing a total of 66 appearances and contributing three goals.
In January 2024, he was farmed out on loan to Inverness Caley Thistle, where he made his senior debut in a 3–2 away win against Raith Rovers.
Since joining Dunfermline Athletic, he has appeared in fifteen games, including thirteen in the Championship.
Although Chilokoa-Mullen has caps for Scotland at U17, U19 and U21 level, he qualifies to represent the Super Eagles through his Nigerian mother.
