Will Victor Osimhen consider a move to Fenerbahce? Napoli-owned striker responds
Published: June 17, 2025
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has dismissed growing speculation linking him with a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahçe, stating clearly that he has no interest in joining the Yellow Canaries.
Osimhen, who spent a successful season on loan at Galatasaray from Italian side Napoli, was one of the standout players in the Turkish Super Lig.
The Nigerian international delivered a stellar performance for the Yellow-Reds, scoring 37 goals and registering eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.
His heroics helped Galatasaray clinch both the league title and the Domestic Cup, solidifying his status as a fan favourite.
As the summer transfer window intensifies, the 26-year-old striker has been the subject of interest from several top clubs around the world, including Al-Hilal, Chelsea and Turkish rivals Fenerbahçe.
However, in a recent interview, Osimhen moved to clear the air on his future, firmly stating that he has no plans to switch allegiance within Istanbul.
"I was intimidated by the fanaticism in Napoli. The fanaticism in Türkiye is greater than Napoli," Osimhen was quoted as saying by habersarikirmizi.
"If I were to move from one club to another in Istanbul, I would be worn out. I am not keen on that."
Osimhen's remarks put to rest rumours of a potential shock move to Fenerbahçe, reiterating his loyalty to Galatasaray, where he enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career.
As the transfer window progresses, all eyes will be on the Nigerian forward to see whether he extends his stay in Istanbul, or makes a big-money move elsewhere.
