Victor Osimhen tells Galatasaray teammates where he plans to play next season
Published: June 21, 2025
Victor Osimhen's future remains a hot topic as the Nigeria international weighs up his next move, with Galatasaray and Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal battling for his signature.
The Napoli loanee, who comes off contract with the Turkish champions on June 30, has also been linked with possible moves to the likes of Juventus, Liverpool and Chelsea.
However, it is believed that Galatasaray and Al-Hilal are the leading contenders in the race for his services.
While the Nigerian star has received record-breaking offers from the Saudi Pro League that would make him the highest-paid Nigerian player in history, Galatasaray have reportedly tabled the most lucrative bid from Europe.
The Turkish giants are hopeful of landing the prolific forward but Osimhen is yet to make a final decision.
Galatasaray insider Yakup Çınar has suggested that a move to Saudi Arabia may be more likely than a switch to Galatasaray, claiming that Osimhen informed his teammates of his intended destination before departing for holiday in Nigeria.
During an appearance on the Yeni Açık YouTube channel, Çınar said, according to habersarikirmizi.com: "This is private information. When Osimhen was leaving Türkiye, he told his Galatasaray teammates that he was going to Saudi Arabia. He may have changed his mind."
Osimhen's contract with Napoli includes a €75 million release clause—a figure that would be challenging for Galatasaray to meet but is unlikely to pose any obstacle for Saudi giants Al-Hilal.
