Genk consider move for for MLS hotshot to replace Super Eagles striker Arokodare

Belgian side Racing Genk are reportedly considering a move for in-form MLS striker Patrick Agyemang as a potential replacement for Tolu Arokodare, amid growing interest in the Super Eagles striker from top Bundesliga clubs.
Arokodare enjoyed a standout 2024/25 season with Genk, emerging as the Belgian Pro League's top scorer with 21 goals and six assists in 40 league appearances.
His impressive form has not gone unnoticed, with Bundesliga heavyweights such as VfB Stuttgart, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayern Munich reportedly monitoring the 24-year-old.
In anticipation of a potential departure, Genk have identified Agyemang, a 24-year-old American striker currently playing for Charlotte FC in Major League Soccer, as a like-for-like replacement.
According to American journalist Tom Bogert, as reported by GiveMeSport, Genk are among several European clubs tracking Agyemang, with English Championship sides also expressing interest.
Agyemang, who stands at 1.93m, shares a similar physical and clinical attributes with Arokodare, scoring eight goals in 18 appearances this season for Charlotte FC.
He has also impressed on the international stage, scoring five goals in nine matches for the United States national team.
Genk are reportedly keen to move quickly as the summer transfer window progresses, with the Limburgers aiming to maintain their attacking strength should Arokodare secure a big move to Germany.
