Done deal: Tottenham Hotspur loan out versatile forward Ajayi to League One new boys
Published: June 24, 2025
With a statement on the official website, Tottenham Hotspur have announced that versatile Nigerian forward Damola Ajayi has been loaned out to Doncaster Rovers.
The academy graduate will spend the entirety of the upcoming season at the EFL League One new boys.
Ajayi was a member of the Tottenham Hotspur squad that won the Europa League last month, although he was an unused substitute in the showpiece against Manchester United.
The 19-year-old had a dream debut for Spurs' first team, scoring within three minutes of his introduction in a 3-0 win over Elfsborg.
Overall, he received twelve call-ups for first team games over the course of last season.
In search of first team football, Ajayi will now continue his development at last season's League Two champions Doncaster Rovers.
Earlier this year, the versatile attacker, who is comfortable on the right or through the middle, committed his future to Spurs by signing a contract that runs until 2028.
Prior to joining Tottenham Hotspur, Ajay spent time in the academy at Bromley.
He scored 17 goals in 37 appearance in the U18 Premier League, and has also represented the north London club in the EFL Trophy, Premier League 2, Premier League Cup, FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League.
For the upcoming season, Ajayi has been allocated the number 19 kit at Doncaster Rovers.
