'I'm a Manchester United fan' – Super Eagles attacker reacts to Red Devils links
Published: June 25, 2025
Super Eagles attacker Tolu Arokodare has reacted to speculation linking him with a move to Premier League giants Manchester United.
Arokodare is widely expected to leave Racing Genk this summer following a standout season in which he claimed the Jupiler Pro League Golden Boot, netting 21 goals in 40 appearances across the regular season and playoffs.
Manchester United are in the market for a new target man and have already been linked with a host of attacking options.
High-profile names such as Hugo Ekitike, Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyökeres have all emerged as potential signings, but their hefty price tags make them difficult targets to secure.
It has been suggested that the 24-year-old Arokodare is being considered a more affordable alternative, offering both proven goal-scoring ability and long-term potential.
Known for his physical presence, aerial ability and finishing, Arokodare is well-suited to the demands of English football.
He did not shy away from from expressing his admiration for the Premier League and highlighted that he is a fan of the Red Devils.
Speaking to SportsBoom, Arokodare said: "Obviously, it's a dream to play in the Premier League, but I have my eyes on it for sure.
"Whatever options I have, I'll take my time and make the best decision.
"I'm a Manchester United fan, and if it happens, it would mean a lot to me and my family."
Under contract with Racing Genk until the end of the 2026-2027 season, Arokodare has also attracted interest from several Bundesliga clubs as well as Portuguese giants Benfica.
