Chukwueze on Torino's radar but Super Eagles forward's N7b-a-year wages complicate move

Torino have reportedly expressed serious interest in signing Samuel Chukwueze from AC Milan as part of ongoing talks between the two clubs.

While the initial focus of negotiations has been on Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci, Chukwueze's name has emerged as a potential makeweight in a separate but connected deal.

Chukwueze, who joined Milan from Villarreal last summer, has struggled to meet expectations at San Siro and Milan remain unconvinced of his long-term fit within the squad.

According to Radio Rossonera, via Pianet Milan, AC Milan are open to letting Chukwueze leave on loan to gain playing time and possibly regain top form elsewhere.

Torino's interest is focused on a loan move for the 26-year-old winger, who is under contract with Milan until June 30, 2028.

The primary obstacle to the deal is financial, as Chukwueze earns around €4 million net per season (approximately ₦7 billion), a figure deemed too high for Torino’s wage structure.

Milan currently value him at around €13 million, the remaining amortized value on their books.

Talks are ongoing to determine whether Torino can afford the loan, potentially with Milan subsidizing a portion of Chukwueze’s salary.

The 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup winner has 8 goals and 6 assists in 69 all-competition appearances for AC Milan.
