'Most important transfer of his career' – Galatasaray insider urges patience over Osimhen decision
Published: June 28, 2025
Uncertainty continues to surround the future of several Galatasaray players, with particular focus on Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
Galatasaray insider Ali Naci Küçük offered his insights on the club's transfer agenda during a recent appearance on the Futbol Arena YouTube channel, urging fans to remain patient as key negotiations unfold.
"Galatasaray offered 23 million euros. It is not an event that is easily seen in Turkish football,” Küçük was quoted as saying by habersarikirmizi.com.
"The Napoli part will also be resolved. What is important now is Osimhen's decision," he added
Küçük acknowledged that sections of the Galatasaray fanbase have shown frustration at the pace of the transfer.
"Galatasaray fans react from time to time. However, we are talking about a player who will make the most important transfer of his career. Therefore, we have to show respect," he stressed.
The Super Eagles striker, who had a remarkable season on loan at Galatasaray, found the back of the net 37 times across all competitions.
His goals powered the yellow-reds to an impressive domestic double, securing both the Turkish league title and the cup. Unsurprisingly, his performances have attracted attention beyond Istanbul.
According to Küçük, Osimhen is currently weighing multiple options.
"If Osimhen stays at Galatasaray, he will make his choice in this direction because he could not get the offer he wanted from Europe or the 50 million euros + bonus contract from Saudi Arabia,” he explained.
This reflects the striker’s desire to secure either a high-profile move within Europe or a lucrative contract from clubs in Saudi Arabia, which so far has not materialised as hoped.
