Chelsea, Galatasaray or Al-Hilal? Ex-Galatasaray TV reporter predicts Osimhen's next club
Published: June 30, 2025
After a record-breaking season in which he scored 37 goals across all competitions and led Galatasaray to a league and cup double, Victor Osimhen’s future is under the spotlight.
The 26-year-old Nigerian striker has become the subject of intense transfer speculation, with Chelsea, Galatasaray, and Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal all reportedly interested in his signature.
Former Galatasaray TV reporter Uğur Karakullukçu believes the next chapter of Osimhen’s career may be far from Europe.
Sharing his thoughts on his YouTube channel, Karakullukçu was quoted as saying by habersarikirmizi.com: "Talks are going positively regarding Victor Osimhen. Osimhen could not reach the point he wanted with European teams.
"I think 70% of Osimhen will go to Arabia. I think Al-Hilal will convince Osimhen somehow. However, if you have Mauro Icardi, you can wait for Osimhen. There is no problem with that."
The quote reflects growing confidence in Saudi Arabia’s ability to lure Osimhen, especially with Al-Hilal’s financial strength and ambition to attract top-level talent.
However, Galatasaray fans still hope the club can retain the prolific forward, who has become a cult hero in Istanbul after just one season.
Osimhen’s form has not gone unnoticed in England either, with Chelsea reportedly monitoring his situation.
The Blues were heavily linked with a move for the former African Footballer of the year last summer but could not agree personal terms with the striker.
As the summer transfer window heats up, Osimhen’s next destination remains uncertain.
But whether he stays at Galatasaray, goes to the Premier League with Chelsea, or takes on a new challenge in Saudi Arabia, his next move promises to be one of the most significant of the window.
