Back to work: Chukwueze reports for pre-season training at AC Milan amid transfer speculation
Published: July 05, 2025
Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has resumed pre-season training with AC Milan amid speculation linking him away from the Italian Serie A giants ahead of the 2025-2026 campaign.
Chukwueze has been linked with a move away from the San Siro stadium, with reports linking him to top-flight clubs in Italy and Spain.
Since making the move to Italy in the summer of 2023, the Nigerian International has failed to meet expectations, scoring just eight goals and providing six assists in 69 matches across all competitions.
His underwhelming performances have sparked controversy surrounding his future, as Massimiliano Allegri, Milan's new manager, hopes to build a competitive squad for the upcoming campaign.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, the Nigerian International has resumed preseason with the Rossoneri to commence preparation for the new campaign.
In a video posted on the club's Instagram account, Chukwueze was seen in a conversation with the Italian manager, as the players participated in the compulsory medical testing.
The Nigerian International, following the medical examination, is expected to commence training with the team on Monday morning behind closed doors.
With three years left on his contract, Chukwueze will hope to convince the former Juventus manager during the training to justify his move to Italy.
